It is encouraged that one representative be appointed/elected for a multiple-year term for continuity purposes and that the other be a member of the societys Board for informational purposes. Since part of the HECssion is to encourage cooperation and joint efforts, the Council has no committees other than ad-hoc committees formed among the representatives.
